After Christoffer had proposed to me in Marrakesh back in December, we immediately started looking for wedding venues. First, we considered the possibility of keeping it in Morocco as the warm weather, Moroccan rugs and colorful cushions would provide the perfect casual atmosphere that we were looking for. But we quickly realized how difficult it would be to arrange it, so we started looking for other places in Denmark.
We both dreamed of a casual and cozy Summer wedding and ended up choosing a beautiful wineyard just outside Copenhagen. An enormous greenhouse filled with wine leaves all over the ceiling. On a daily basis they produce delicious organic wine which we obviously had for the wedding dinner as well. Additionally, we had hired some simple black chairs and some vintage tableware to complete the look and Christoffer’s mother had brought flowers from her garden for all tables. It was just so magical and we could not have wished for more.
If you want to experience the same atmosphere it’s actually possible as Dansk Vincenter, as the place is called, is hosting an event during Copenhagen Cooking & Food Festival with a 3-course dinner and bubbles in the greenhouse. Christoffer and I have bought two tickets and I can’t wait to experience the atmosphere once again. The tickets can be found HERE for those of you who are interested. Just a little tip. Within the near future I’ll share other wedding locations with you, as we considered ourselves for our wedding. So stay tuned. ;)
